Return Tags

Returntags is a property registration and return system. It's like an on-line lost property office.

Users of returntags simply register and apply a tag to any possession they'd like returned if they lose it. The unique tag identity number shown on the tag is matched to the registered contact details. If an item carrying a registered returntag is found, and its identity entered into the site, Return Tags connects the finder with the owner of the item, so that they can arrange its return. Returntags are particularly suited to high value electronic items – ipods, memory sticks, laptops – although it doesn't matter what item you choose to apply them to.

There's no reward involved; the system is based on honesty. We do expect returntag owners to cover at least any cost involved in returning an item. Additionally, they may choose to reward the person who returns their possession.
